Description
This mono audio sampler connects to the parallel port and lets you record audio digitally on your Amiga. Thanks to its built-in pre-amplifier with hardware gain control, it can deliver higher-quality results than the average vintage sampler. The OAS wiki on GitHub has more information about the device.
Amiga 1000 users need the Amiga 1000 parallel port adapter to use the sampler on the parallel port of the Amiga 1000.
Audio Sources
Please note that a standard microphone needs an additional pre-amplifier, because the signal of a normal microphone is very weak. The built-in pre-amplifier easily handles the output of pre-amplified sound sources such as cassette players, MP3 players and mobile phones: basically any sound device you would use with headphones. Compared with a PC, this sampler is a line-in input, so to speak, not a pre-amplified microphone input.

Software Compatibility
This sampler works with most sampling programs and sample trackers. Over time, this table will probably become more useful as a list of exceptions: programs that do not work with it, or software written exclusively for proprietary hardware. As a rule, anything that works with a MasterSound, a StereoMaster, a TechnoSound Turbo, a MegaloSound or any other low-to-mid range 8-bit sampler will probably work with this sampler as well.
