Description
This battery adapter PCB replaces the rechargeable barrel battery found in some Amiga computers, such as the Amiga 500+, Amiga 2000, Amiga 3000 and Amiga 4000, and on some accelerators and memory cards such as the A501.
Barrel batteries tend to leak and corrode, which can seriously damage the motherboard. This adapter lets you use a non-rechargeable CR2032 lithium coin cell instead. It also includes all the electronic components needed to prevent the computer from charging the battery.
Installation
Installation is easy, but requires soldering skills: desolder the old barrel battery, then solder in the adapter.
The CR2032 coin cell itself is not included, but it is available in almost every supermarket.
