Description

If you are looking for an easy mass storage solution for your Amiga, this is probably what you need. This MicroSD adapter uses the Amiga’s parallel port to provide up to 32 GB of external storage.

Barebone means that you get the adapter board without a housing.

Features

  • Easy file transfer between the PC and the Amiga using the FAT/FAT32 file system
  • Supports MicroSD cards up to 32 GB
  • Hot swapping of MicroSD cards without rebooting your Amiga
  • No hard drive needed: a boot disk gives you immediate access to the data on the MicroSD card
  • Compatible with Amiga OS 1.3 or later (1.3, 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 3.9, 3.1.4, 3.2+)
  • LED indicators (red: power, yellow: card present, green: read/write activity)

Power Supply

The adapter needs an external power supply. You can use a standard USB charger (e.g. from an old mobile device) with a Mini-USB cable. The cable and USB charger are not included.

Device Drivers

The MicroSD Driver Disk contains the latest device drivers for the adapter, including the FAT95.lha package to read and write FAT16/FAT32-formatted MicroSD cards.

If you want to use the MicroSD adapter without a hard drive, use the MicroSD Boot Disk (Workbench 1.3): attach the adapter to your Amiga and boot from this disk. Double-click the file “Mount_SDCARD” to initialise the MicroSD card. The MicroSD Boot Disk Auto-Mount (Workbench 1.3) mounts the SD0: device automatically during boot.
